Discover the art of storytelling through painting in this six-week gouache course inspired by the enchanting visual style of Studio Ghibli. Designed for beginner to intermediate artists, this hands-on workshop explores techniques for creating expressive, atmospheric scenes featuring imaginative characters, nature and detailed environments.

Participants will learn essential gouache painting techniques, including colour mixing, layering, lighting, brushwork and composition. With step-by-step instruction and guided feedback, participants will create a collection of anime-inspired paintings that capture mood, movement and storytelling.

Participants will receive gouache paints, brushes, palettes and painting paper. Gouache paints and a watercolour pad can be taken home at the end of the course.
